Liquid-Liquid separations
When two immiscible liquids are contacted, they can form stable physical emulsions. Separating physical emulsions requires using the surface energies, densities and viscosities.
Transcend Solutions has developed the capability to effectively separate liquid-liquid emulsions, compromised of exceptionally small droplets in a system with tiny specific gravity differences, resulting in a unparalleled ability to purify liquid-liquid emulsions and dispersions.
Liquid-Gas separations
Liquid droplets in gas streams are highly susceptible to shear and shattering into aerosols. These liquid aerosols can effect downstream unit operations, such as compressors, absorption columns, molecular sieves and other unit operations. The aerosols can have surface energies that span the spectrum and become susceptible to thermodynamics and phase changes.
Transcend Solutions has developed the capability to identify, measure and effectively separate the most penetrating aerosols from these gas streams.
Solid-Liquid filtration
Particles are entrained and created in liquid streams by a variety of processes. The effective removal of trace levels of tiny contaminents is very challenging. Often these separations require the use of disposable devices.
As a result, operator interface, online life, ease of operation, disposal of spent elements are all important factors in the design of an effective separator.
Solid-Gas filtration
Particulate removal from gas streams is an essential unit operation particularly in gas production, processing and transmission. These separations require the use of disposable devices in high pressure and large vessels.
Ultimately, effective particle removal improves the operation of the various unit operations associated with those gas streams.
